Freelancing

As my confidence and abilities have grown, I have been promoting my skills and as a result have gained a few freelancing opportunities. One of these was a logo redesign for a bespoke jewelry company.

Sharon makes all of her own jewelry by hand and also uses recycled glass, which she kiln fires, to make beautiful, one off pieces of jewelry.

She finds art art nouveau inspirational and wanted this to feature in her logo. However, she also wanted something that was simple and clean, that reflected her product range.

Hi, it's been rather a long time since I have even looked at this blog and thought it was about time that I posted some of the things I have been up to since my last post.

In between working hard on my uni briefs I have been doing a little traveling and visiting new places and exhibitions for inspiration.

Of course one of these places was the city so good they named it twice. I loved it!

So much inspiration, more than I could take in in one trip and I can't wait to go back.

Large wall features

We recently recieved a brief to produce a visual for each floor of our new building. The aim was for it to be seen when you step out of the lift so that you can see clearly which floor you are on.

I used the concept of growth, through the life cycle of a caterpillar.

As a student I have grown and changed so much in the last year and gained so much knowledge, I feel like I need to cocoon myself just to absorb everything I have learnt so far lol.

At first I wasn't sure how to approach it, but then gave it a more personal and individual look through using pen and ink.

I may go to heaven - I recycled.

As my local Council aren't too good at collecting the recycling, I decided to have a go myself with cereal boxes.
